Hadrian was one of the five good emperors of the Roman Empire, 117 years - 138 years in place. His most well-known deeds were the construction of the Hadrian's Great Wall and the demarcation of the northern border of the Roman Empire in Britannia. He also rebuilt the Pantheon in the city of Rome and built the Venus and Roman temples. As a Roman emperor, he advocated humanism and promoted Greek culture. It wasn’t only Rome and Athens that had him to thank for new buildings and comprehensive restorations, but many other cities of his empire as well. His legacy was immense, since Hadrian invested in infrastructure and the arts in all parts of his enormous realm. The Montblanc Patron of Art Homage to Hadrian Fountain Pen is limited to 4810 pieces. The pen's cap and barrel is made by Egyptian basalt (volcanic stone). The yellow gold coated clip designed in the shape like a wheat sheaf of Demeter. The pen filler is piston filling system is piston filling and the nib is in handcrafted 18 karat gold nib is embellished with an apropos engraving. On the cap and barrel , the describe of "Ddeptus imperium ad priscum se statim moorim institute et tenendae per orbem terrarum paci operam impendit" (meaning "on taking possession of the imperial power, Hadrian at once resumed the policy of the early emperors and devoted his attention to maintaining peace throughout the world") engraved of the cap top and bottom of barrel.
